The lady was great today

From this morning's report:"Awesome is the word of the day today" Must be a some new slang because at 9:15, it basically sucked out there.  Nothing in the snow report that that most lifts and trails will open late - after the groomers get around to them. Nothing was groomed last night and they only started early this morning. Status boards were still saying everything closed when then SR lifts were running.  So it might be awesome later,  but it would have been nice to know not to waste my time…See More

Since the press releases don't go over specifics, what has anyone seen as new of different for the 2011-2012 season up at Sunday River and surrounding area? Here's what I spotted this pass weekend: - Snowboard shop at South Ridge moved into the existing SR Sports; old snowboard shop area is now wide open - probably more seating.- About a mile stretch of of the road to Jordan is newly reconstructed and paved- Sunday River access road in Bethel is paved- White Cap lodge getting some new siding…See More

 Not a tragedy, no one got hurt,  but a real travesty.  Sunday River has flattened my happy place!  What was yesterday a paradise of soft snow making bumps and constantly refreshed tracks is now just another hardscape of groomed corduroy.  Lost Princess, deep in the land known as Oz was groomed edge to edge last night! If anyone sees any bumps left at Sunday River,  please post a report!  Guns are going this morning on a flattened 3D but it’ll be a while before there are any bumps. Great…See More
