Not good news from Saddleback.  The Berry family have been good stewards of Saddleback, but are living proof of the old saying "if you want to make a small fortune start with a larger one and buy a ski resort".  Would be a real shame (not to mention a serious blow to the local economy) if they can't operate this season. Sadly, Chip Crothers passed away last week.  Chip was co-founder of Maine Handicapped Skiing (now Maine Adaptive Sports & Rec) with Les Otten in 1982.  He was also a founder of Orthopedic Associates.  Both organizations are well known to many Maine snowsports enthusiasts. Unfortunately I am travelling for work tomorrow and can't attend his memorial service, the details of which can be found is his obituary...…See More
