Well it's a wrap folks.  Time to hang up the board for the season. I had some knee surgery last May, and unfortunately the doctor did not correctly diagnose and solve my issue, and my knee problems…Continue

What's the word for 2011? Did you guys ever move some dirt around and build the pump track like you wanted to last summer?  I am begging you for some lift serviced, free flowy, smooth, fast single…Continue

Bike Trails article in the Bethel Citizen

Hope some of you were able to read the article about opening a network of bike trails adjacent to SR owned land on the Bingham Trust parcel.  They would like to build out a network of trails similar to the Kingdom Trails in Vermont, but on a bit smaller scope. Would be awesome to see.  It would be a great addition to the community, and  another cool feature to enjoy during the summer.  Hopefully they'll get all the approvals and work out a plan to have some sweet Maine singletrack built out…See More

SR should have a Banked Slalom race

http://www.sugarloaf.com/Events/Calendar/Banked_Slalom.htmlThis is a great idea by Sugarloaf. Fun event, everyone can participate regardless of age, gender, and whether or not they ski/snowboard. Sugarloaf seems to only have snowboarders, but skiers could definitely get involved and participate.Just a thought, glad to see Sugarloaf running this.  I would've loved to have done that. Good times. Hopefully next year.See More

Season over before it even began. Oh well.

Well it's a wrap folks.  Time to hang up the board for the season. I had some knee surgery last May, and unfortunately the doctor did not correctly diagnose and solve my issue, and my knee problems persist.  Going to a new doctor this week.Seeing the season started off so crappy I waited until Dec to test out my knee.  I went out in early December and my knee was still not feeling great.  I figured I'd wait until Christmas break to try again.  Went out last week 1 day and it felt awful and then…See More

Any bike park updates for 2011?

What's the word for 2011? Did you guys ever move some dirt around and build the pump track like you wanted to last summer?  I am begging you for some lift serviced, free flowy, smooth, fast single track. We really need some of that at SR Bike Park. I know how you guys like your crazy bridge rides, wall rides, gnarly rock gardens, jumps, teeter-totters etc.   I would probably like that too, if I was about 25 years younger and had a $7,000 dedicated downhill bike.  But I'm not getting any younger,…See More

Dog season pass ID tags

Do they still make ID tags for your dog at Guest Services? We had one for our old dog, but we now have a new pup and he could use one. We have a nice SR logo collar, the pass would look great on it.   We have a Basset Hound named Ollie ( snowboard and skateboard lingo), he is pretty cool and laid back.

Is it supposed to snow sometime in 2011??

I am currently assessing my future weekends/holidays and was wondering if it is supposed to snow for the remainder of the season?  I am kind of officially done with man made groomed runs, pp,frozen granular,  ice, or  slush.   Thank you for any insight. See More

Anybody else excited about The Sticks?

I've been suggesting a "Stash like" park for the last several winters and I'm glad to see that Sunday River has stepped up to the plate and will be creating The Sticks. I'd like to know more.  I also hope they ask for some advice on the project. 1) Make a variety of features, not just log rail slides. a)  berms, hip jumps, a frame log structures, rainbow rails,  etc. b) don't make them all huge. Sometimes features are more fun when the consequences aren't as severe. c) make it flow with…See More

Loon Mountain Park featured in this month's Snowboarder

Good news for Boyne,  nice feature on the super duper mega park over at Loon in this month's Snowboarder. Features 3 pro riders that got their gigs started at Loon.  I'll give Loon credit, the parks there are pretty nice.  The lines still stink and it's packed with goobers,  but they have upped their game with the parks/features.  Once I master Whoville maybe I'll use my pass on a sunny spring day to head over there.Have any of you seen the size of some of the jumps they have set up?Like whoa!See More

I saw your wife up there, I think. She was with one young one. Did she race too? The person I'm thinking of had a bib. My wife and I both raced that weekend. She on skies and me on a board.

My youngest is 9. He was on skies for Tuckers but rides for the other events. Are your kids doing the HP event on Saturday? I'll be up at the start. Perhaps I'll see you there.
