Permalink Reply by Mcandy on February 3, 2013 at 10:46pm Not 40 yet. I skied WH 3 times before I ripped off my toe piece this morning. Actually both boys skied it for the first time today. It wasn't pretty on the oldest 3rd run of the day on THE PIG as conditions were not to his liking.
Thanks for the advice on the gloves. Someone else recommended them. I hope they are worth the cost.

Jess has raynauds. Gets cold fetching my beer from the fridge.
We have tried most major brands. Marmot expedition mittens hands down best. Durable too.
Saw you ski salvation while your son ripped white heat. 40 sux eh?

Permalink Reply by MaiTai on February 4, 2013 at 1:00pm Those Burton Oven Mitts are really warm, they have an "AK" version too.
For cold days I have a pair of Level 'lobster"(they have solo idx finger) mitts with internal finger separators, not as warm as oven mitts.
The Hestra Heli-Mitt? had rave reviews too. Hestra stuff lasts forever
"AK" version.... what are they black with a white stripe like his ski pants or do they become a scoop to shovel down the nachos. Not sure if DJAK even reads this board any more. He is missed.
