The chatter on here lately misses the boat on what is a better happening in sports.
US Woman's Soccer on the verge of a World Cup Championship game - this out duels a bunch of bloold doping cheats and an exhibition baseball game that has become a joke, yet decides how a world championship may play out.

All good man. My only point that I think is getting lost is that (per Zenny's post) the Golden Goal was way more bleeped up than the way it works now. They should do it like they do in the hockey playoffs. Play until someone scores, no skills comp at the end.
WTBS, Hope is a babe, and so is Alex Morgan. I love the way Wambach plays...she's awesome...and a great ambassador of the game. Was talking with someone this weekend who has major involvement with the Breakers, and she told me a story that Wambach is always on the field signing autographs until the last fan. She gives the last two fans her cleats, signed, every game. Pretty cool. She's also 5'11" and would definately be able to beat me up. (although I'd give Wheeler even odds in that battle!)

oh by the way,
Don't react astro, cuz i played soccer,....err. futbol, and understand the finer points .
not because I liked it, but because our hockey coach MADE us play to get in shape for the frozen season.
Fun game, and , his stategy worked. Just look at St Dom's hockey record for the 50's - 90's
Pretty impressive for a tiny, broke school.
I will NEVER question the fitness of soccer players
You just can't decide ANY major team championship with a skills comp.

She is reportedly baring it all for ESPN The Magazine.
“Being naked outside is very liberating….at least I hope it will be @ESPN and @ESPNMAG!!! GAMETIME BABY! Ball up!” she tweeted Monday.
Solo is expected to appear in the Body Issue, which features nude athletes in poses that creatively conceal their R-rated areas.
Solo also tweeted a photo of herself post-shoot in which she appears to be wearing little more than a bathrobe as she frolics in a fountain.
Solo, a Richland native who played at UW from 1999-2002, has seen her media exposure explode since the World Cup last month. That trend apparently will continue.
