Doesn't mean we can't rehash it.

Personally, my favorite has to be Jackson H***.  Great skiing, good people, love it.

Chamonix by a huge margin.  My experience there changed my perception of what sking is about, how much fun you can actually have skiing, and what should be expected on a great ski vacation.

Skibud, my condolences to your trip to Tahoe.  :-(   I heard that there might be a little snow later next week.  Good Karma to you!

I agree, I don't think I would have pick a worst area of the country to go to for skiing.  However, my son is competing in the Gatorade Free Flow and that's why we are going.

If we can figure it out, we are going to take a European ski trip soon, kids are old enough.

Wish list:

-Europe

-Private CAT skiing in BC

-South America

-AK

I posted my resorts on the old list but added Shawnee Peak this year.

Not very worldly for skiing, fav place I've actually skied, SQAW, Heavenly is the most beautiful w/it's sparsely gladed lakeview!

Garmisch-Partenkirchen for reasons beyond "just" skiing.

Don't have a clue on the overall count.... how about a dozen in the State-o-Maine; two of which are no longer operational.
