On the weekends of March 26th and April 2nd, I couldn't help notice lift # 15 the Oz Quad running while most everything west of North Peak shut down due to Mother Natures cruel games.

I never made it over to Oz on those two occasions but felt SR was finally giving that area a chance to be used and appreciated by a large number of advanced skiers, who on wind hold days are eager for more challenging terrain to open.

While skiing yesterday, I saw many of you enjoying the last turns of the season out in that area. The snow coverage is unreal for this time of year when you consider how the numbers for total snowfall were way down.

When I see that 6 lifts are scheduled to be open for next weekend, I can't help dream that management might try something new this year by running the same number of lifts only in different areas than usual. More terrain for all abilities, and more snow.

Skied the Loaf on Friday.  Only thing closed was Bracket.  Some trails, however, didn't open because they never softened up (e.g. Double Bitter).  Coverage was amazing as we saw no bare spots.  Some tree runs were great, especially those down low like the ones off Buckboard and alongside Tote Road.  Higher up the trees never softened up.  Took one run through Dropline Glade off Timberline that varied from ice to 4" of powder.  Don't know how yesterday's snow affected things, but it looks like they could go on indefinitely with all the coverage.  Trees would be amazing if temps got up to 50s or 60s.

SR pulled 4" of heavy wet up top yesterday and today was great cover but sticky early on.   Hope SL had at least 6 or more to carry this out another few weeks.  Don't think I have seen SR close with this much snow in more than a decade.  SL must be rocking!

Unreal cap to the SR season! Best last weekend ever! Got my last Agonies and woods runs in. We hid eggs in the woods for the kids to ski and find!
