I am planning on coming back for the winter season, and wondered if anyone knew what benefits SR gives if people volunteer.  Also, what types of volunteer positions are available as well?

It varies w/ the different departments. Best to contact the dept directly that you're interested in....

Not going to go into the politics here, but the bene's have changed over the years w/ the new mgmt teams, and modifications in HR policies - Still a good deal if you have the time, and are up there all the time though....

Good Luck
I have volunteered for the competition and events dept (ski & snowboard races and events) for the last 2 years. The benefits did change from the first year to the second but they are still good. You can get a free SR season pass for yourself if you commit to 20 days or a voucher for the day you work and an additional one for another day if you do not want to commit to a certain amount of days. I really enjoy the people I volunteer with and they are a hardy crew (sometimes on snow for up to 3 hours in all kinds of weather). I do not know if any of the benefits are changing.
Maine Handicapped Skiing is always seeking qualified volunteers. Our crew works hard, but the primary benefit is that it is extremely rewarding work. We also help our volunteers with comp tickets, pro purchase and other perks. Learn more http://www.skimhs.org/volunteer.php

Thanks Snowangel!! We love you too!!

If anyone has interest in volunteering with the Competition Department please send an email to competitions@sundayriver.com. I'd be happy to talk to you about our program.
