If there was one, my first card would read " Open the North Peak Chair at 8am on weekends and Holidays so that I can leave the South Ridge area at first chair and continue to ski North Peak w/o having to crowd the Chondi as new skiers arrive".  What else ...... ???

Not sure where you see that, midweek is iffy right now due to the Arctic push and looks like next weekend is followed by another thaw.

this coming week hopefully saves a disaster with a much needed storm or 2

Unless the upcoming school vacation weeks have great conditions and weather, this season isn’t going to be a positive one for the ski business investors. Arctic conditions over Xmas & New Years, then this washed out MLK weekend must be making a big hit in the number of day tickets sold.

$105 for 79 trails anyone?

Ahh, Tim Kelly's dreams.  Got it.  Tues/Wed is an Alberta Clipper that may reform in the Gulf of Maine.  If it doesn't and just a clipper, 2-4" at best.  The reform is a low probability forecast right now.  Hoping that occurs but I'm not counting on it.

How about learning to start prepping for a busy weekend day a little earlier so things are ready when the guests arrive?  Chondi getting cabins installed - couldn't that have been done already?  Barker and Southridge down for something else?  No smowmaking over night due to power issues.  Preventive maintenance anyone?

I am still thinking this is staffing issues all the way around.

MB, I truly hope staffing is the issue.  It is starting to seem eerily familiar to the twilight years of ASC.  Hopefully seems is all it is and not actual.

Certainly a staffing issue,  the only real question is whether it's quantity or quality.

Today was a fumble. Big weekend, bad weatherday yesterday, lots of people around ....and you start the day with multiple lift holds including the chondola “to replace the cabins”. 45 minute line to exit south ridge basin does not breed repeat business

Plus, one of SR's selling points has always been snowmaking expertise and capacity. Thaw and freeze cycle? The SR snowmaking system would blast on and resurface everything. For whatever reasons, not so much this year.

No line this morning at Jordan.  Crazy,  holiday weekend and not busy over there.  I had the trails to myself a few times - no one else top to bottom and ski right onto the lift.  Sad to see Oz totally barren along with Airglow and Vortex.  No hoses even on Airglow which means they probably still don't have enough to keep one on each hydrant and they have to move them around from trail to trail.

Still perplexed about no paradigm, vortex and airglow? Yes, Jordan was nice today... ski on lift all day. Excal was kinda like skiing on a bowling alley in some parts.

Who cares about a mid week storm.... I've been up all night reading about Jimmy Ma and his road to figure skating glory..... thanks for that post Mike

My favorite was waiting 35mins for South Ridge chair and watching 2’s and 3’s ride the lift.  Get someone from management out to there to make sure 4 are being loaded.
