I would like to get some Sunday River "stuff" for my condo. I have been thinking about just buying the old trail maps (from the store), cutting out the black borders (some of the black borders are huge) and framing them along the wall. What I really want to do, however, is get old trail signs, warnings signs, or anything else cool from the mountain (old or current). Is there a source for these kind of things when the mountain gets rid of them? Do they auction things off?  I missed the boat on the chairlifts they sold last year (??).  Anyone have anything they are trying to get rid of?

As an antique dealer in Bethel told me - ski stuff is generally "ephemera" and most people toss it. So it's not easy to find. I check by his place every year or so and never find anything. Maybe "general" ski stuff but not SR. Whenever I'm at a antique or flea market near ski areas I ask them for "ski stuff" - it's quick to ask and don't have to spend time digging if you don't want.

So best bet are yardsales and church sales in area, IMO. eBay. I hear semi-pro on this board has a line on authentic SR trail signs.

I would let this 40 year old map on wood go for..., let's say,,,..... 1 Miliion dollars?  or 50 bucks

PS .. I heard there may be a good deal on a "used" Chondi cabin

K Mac can get you an “original Spruce Cliffs” sign.  I have a few and they are top quality.

Evergreen Valley? Isn't that map part of a massive board near the old base lodge?

Max, I have my signs for sale at Savage country store on Access road. I also make custom signs...just let me know what you want.  Thanks for posting the pic cartman.

Yes, and Evergreen Valley was just sold to a local yokel. Although, he has no plans for skiing.

Evergreen is a cool place. Sad it didn't work out. They sure had grand plans and that baselodge is awesome. I've been back to explore a couple times since they closed. Big Rock has their Mueller double chairs. So it kind of lives on, but not really. I would LOVE to have some old Evergreen stuff.
