Awesome! I got up on March 16 and 17 and the conditions were great. Looking forward to a few more trips to the Loaf! Hopefully we will get a few more late season dumps to make it even better.
We all know the weather can do anything, but I can tell you there's a ton of snow up there and with anywhere near normal weather, the 15th is completely doable.

Snowmonster posted this info some where too. Pretty psyched and  impressed.  Yard work starts the 21st of May.
Looking forward to May turns at the Loaf. If all goes according to plan, this could be my longest lift-served season ever: Oct. 23 to May 15. Seven solid months of skiing. Great marketing line! Too bad it's going to cut into time in the Presidentials.=(
If you're really hardy, then on their last day you could also run in the SL marathon or 15K
+1, this is great news.  Need it to stay cold in Maine and heat up in RI....

AWESOME!

That is great news and way to take advantage of the current snowpack.  Maybe Sunday River will also take the initiative and support their passholders and other skiers by staying open at least until the end of April as they've also got a great base.

Otherwise, based on the current rumored length of the season our passes should be going down not up if you factor in that SR used to be open into May!!!

I for one would rather spring ski on a wide array of terrain vs ski a couple packed icy trails in November!  Maybe SR should also step up the marketing to entice skiers in April just as much as they promote the beginning of the season in Oct/Nov.  If so, I bet they could get the crowds and not close early and blame such closure on limited numbers.

Boyne is still offering October to May skiing...same as it has since they've been in the New England market.

I happen to agree with you but with a Boyne pass you can do both. BTW, many in here feel very differently about the Oct. vs May skiing....it's a common topic of discussion every Fall.

Sunday river looks like snow on the way, keep White heat open . Incentive for people buying passes for next year can use from 2nd week of April to May Day.

I have never heard anyone here say they would rather ski Oct than May?

Most want both as far as I can tell

Most of the board members I saw at SL on May 2, 2010 were the same ones I saw on October 14, 2009 at SR

I saw you at neither.

Facts have no basis in a discussion here Wheeler.  You have to make snow early to open terrain early for the holiday breaks.  Might as well spin the lifts.  On the back side if there is snow show up and ski late season,  I plan on taking advantage of the late option instead of debating it.

Curious if the River goes through April and with all the snow making we had, what is there to b**** about?
