Up for the first time this year.  A few comments:

1.  Where's the natural snow?  Bare ground everywhere without snowmaking.  We have more snow in our backyard in SE Mass right now than Oz.  OTOH kudos to the snowmakers.  Some amazing product out there today.  And lots of it.  I've never seen so many guns going during the day ever.

2.  What's up with Rooster's?  The baked haddock that I love is now $16.95, up from $10.95.  Most other menu items have similar increases.  Since when did Rooster's become upscale?  Still a great meal, but is this the right policy in today's economy?  I could see going up a buck, maybe even 2, but 6?  I don't think so.

3.  $12 for beer, pizza and movie ticket weekdays at Suds is still a deal that's hard to beat.

4.  What's going on with the ice rink next to the Casablanca?  Didn't look well-maintained.  No warming hut this year?  We liked the setup there last year.

5.  College week means no hot tub for us geezers at the Summit.  Counted 14 guys in it when I hopped on the exercise bike this afternoon.  Half hour later when I quit, not one had left, leaving a number of people lurking around in the pool waiting for room and finally giving up.  A sense of the fundamental decencies is not parcelled out equally at birth some writer (Fitzgerald?) once said.

Maybe I've been at the wrong place at the wrong time, but the entire team of racers not observing the rules really pushed my buttons and that could be handled easier than dealing with random day skiers.  Hoping someone out there is listening and takes the reins.. :)

I think that ambassadors on the hill (@ the top of any lift for that matter) is enough to keep things clear.

I don't think that you mean that the people slow to get away from the offload station should get their ticket cut...you start cutting people's tickets because they're not moving fast enough and you're looking for trouble.

All-in-all, Cutting tickets isn't good for business; there's a time and place for that action, but poor etiquette isn't punishable IMO.

I feel that the Ambassadors have the ability to maintain order (not enforcing the rules), and should be doing their part to make sure things are going smoothly. Humility without agression goes a LONG way in my book.

I want to be an ambassador, I like those jackets.

I saw more Ambassadors on the hill last weekend moving people and trying to control traffic flow.  Top of Jordan comes to mind first.  I favor a more a more agressive policy of getting your ticket taken.  When something like that is put into place there are arguements on the other side too.

I was talking about agreesive skiers getting tickets taken.   Not popular with all.

The top of the lift part...I  was stating  I think it was helping with traffic flow.  Same point about the escapade park.

Yeah, so does Rex Ryan.
