Looks like K is taking a shot at it. Good luck to them.

Have to be a pass holder...are you going?
Wednesday

Game on!  Jay Peak yesterday:

Nope. Having Meniscus surgery Friday. Tore it a few seasons ago and lived with the pain until now. Need to get it repaired. Hope to be back on the snow sometime in December. (Dare I say end of November). Doc says 8 weeks recovery before skiing.

Have at it though. The spine got a bunch of natural over the last 36 hours.

Thanks for the well wishes.

I held out as long as I could on the surgery. I just can't deal with the pain anymore so gonna finally get it over with. Even if I start skiing in early December, I still plan to get in my 35-45 days in Vermont and 25-35 days in The Rockies.

You gonna finally make it out to Colorado with us this season? You know you got a bed to sleep in and plenty of dispensaries to shop in.

I'll be out Wednesday as well with any luck on the work front.

Good luck!  Mine was so bad when they repaired my ACL that all they could do was scrape it out so now I really don't have one in my right knee, or so I was told. #kneereplacementinmyfuture

My issue is the Meniscus, not the ACL. If it was my ACL, I woulda had the surgery when the initial accident happened a couple of years ago.

Meniscus is laparoscopic. 2 small slits, one on each side of the knee. In one slit goes the camera and in the other goes the tools to repair and clean up.

Yours seems more serious. Hopefully I'm skiing by early December. My ACL is fine. meniscus is torn in 2 places.

G-d did not design the human knee for mogul skiing, that's for sure. This will be my 1st ski related surgery ever, so I guess I'm kinda lucky. Fingers x-ed for a good outcome. If not, maybe you and me could get a BOGO on 2 new knees...

Sorry I wasn't more clear...when I tore my ACL (yes, it was a skiing crash) I also tore the meniscus on both sides.  During surgery to repair the ACL, they could not repair the meniscus because of the extent of the damage...the photo of my meniscus that they showed me from the surgery looked like a down pillow had exploded in my knee, just a whole bunch of little flecks of white...all they could do was scrape it (the meniscus) out.

BOGO knee replacements could be fun...as long as they play some GD in the recovery room for us.
