Any chance of having ski in/out at the Summit or Jordan this week? Looking to come up Wednesday and that would be a major factor on where to stay. Thanks.

Hello? Hello? Hello?
Is there anybody in there?
Just nod if you can hear me.
Is there anyone at home?
Can't offer any official information, but watch the interactive map. For in/out access at the Summit you need lift 11 and snow making on moonstruck/green cheese, plus a connection to/from Barker. Snow being made on Heats On and Obsession, but those alone won't do it. Road Runner is key too (needs work to make it to WC base).

Lolla looked like it was getting blasted this past weekend - no visible brown/rock. Aurora base is operational, so with a way down from the top of JP the Jordan Hotel is in/out. Probably the more likely option at this point??

Yes looks like Jordon is your best bet
Come on, Come on, Come on now,
I hear you're feeling down.
Well, I can ease your pain
Get you on your feet again.

Relax relax relax.
I'll need some information first.
Just the basic facts.
Can you show me where it hurts?

They are also making snow on Obsession and Heats On, so you should be able to ski into the Summit. If they can cover the trail down to White Cap base, that will let us ski out an pick up the Tempest Chair, too. Then we can enjoy a long, slow, leisurely ride up Tempest. Wouldn't a fast quad there be a nice addition?
Trail report sez three new chairs potentially for the week end. (Total to 10)
Assuming you get lifts 13 and 14 to get to Jordan (w/ the snow they are making on lolla I am sure they will open it this w/e)
it would seem likely lift 6 would be the third to relieve SR congestion.
maybe it is lift 9 or 11 but according to the report it wont be both.

Jordan is your best bet for this weekend IMHO
Awright, Junior. I'm impressed! We'll stay at the Summit. Looks like they're holding off more lifts for the weekend. Can't say as I blame them. We midweek retirees have to sacrifice something, I guess.
This weekend could likely be both. Wed - Fri for OT - my bet is Jordan (if any).

Wildfire suggests a connect with RR, which was thin but "skiable" to the tunnel last w/e. RR has been turned around in 2-3 days many times in the past and looks like extended cold beginning tomorrow. Snow on lower MS will complete a lift 9 loop for the Grand, albeit not a "green" one.

Have fun OT! See you out there on Thurs.

ski in /ski out is over rated just find a nice place to stay and bring a cooler to the lodge.there are shuttles if needed to get around.

Wildfire has not had any snowmaking and this thaw/freeze will have it closed tomorrow. It can't be groomed with the current base, so w/o snowmaking or new snow, don't count on it.
Jordan has had extensive snowmaking on Lolla, Rogue, and Kansas. Neither connector trail from Northern Lights to Jordan base has seen snowmaking, but as long as the double runs, I would pit money on ski in/out access to Jordan. However, w/o Cyclone, there won't be beginner access as Sensation hasn't seen the guns either.
All of that being said, there are three really cold days and night before the weekend and with the capacity to have 200+ guns running at once, things could and probably will change dramatically.

Thanks for the update Jerry. Didn't expect wildfire to be open on natural - lower section looked thin Sunday afternoon so thought all of it was. Wonder if that means RR is a week off??

It takes quite a bit of air and water to get to Jordan. "captain obvious" After Jordan and a few cross overs are done, I think the dots will fill in quickly. Southway opened very quickly. My guess is RR will be very quick to open. Not much area to cover to tie the white heat quad and the hotel in. Temps look great for as far as the forecasts are posted.

Ski on ski off is not overrated to me. Works well for the fam. No doubt you become lazy. I can live with that. Great not to start the car and drag the gear around. Early and late season I don't mind taking a vehicle I bring out the lawn chair and boot up.
