Sending thoughts and prayers to the earthquake/tsunami victims in Japan and beyond.

The footage of TV is unreal.
Tsunami watches have now stretched from the Phillipines to the entire west coast of the US.
Mother Nature flexed her muscles here.

Incredible scenes from Japan. There is probably no nation that's more prepared for earthquakes and tsunamis more than Japan and the fact that there are so many casualties and destruction speaks to the magnitude of this. I was just in touch with friends in Japan. No power, no trains and cel phone lines are jammed. They're stuck in the office and bracing for aftershocks. Thoughts and prayers to the Japanese people and all those in living and working in Japan. First, NZ, now Japan. Seems like the Ring of Fire is very active.

The tsunami travelled to the eastern Philippines and it was a meter high. No damage and the tsunami alert has just been lifted.

Short FB message  from my nephew, who lives in Tokyo.. just   " all is well with Asami and  I "  I'm sure we will  have  more detail later, but   huge relief for the whole  family here in the states.

Sickening, prayers to folks in Japan.  I left OR this am, and they were evacuatiing people off the coast in OR and WA.  Mother Nature once agains shows who is the boss.  So sad.
