Sounds like Carl Crawford had his surgery....why did he wait so long to get under the knife?

Good question, and I have yet to see an answer that makes any kind of sense.

What I heard is that he was feeling OK, but when he started intense preseason work outs, it flared up again.  Both he and the trainers thought it had healed.  Just what I recall from the Boston Herald a few weeks ago.
