Permalink Reply by MonkeyBrook on July 6, 2010 at 1:43pm I was totally blown away at how beautiful that coastline is, and I barely saw any of it. A family vacation down east (a-yup, yep I said that) may be in order later this summer or next. The people I met along the way that day were so nice and hospitable, but there was way too much redsox stuff all over the place. It took until the 2nd set Sunday night at Nateva that I first saw a Yankee hat up there. Truly redsox nation.
At some point in my life, I'd really like to see the entire coast of Maine from the water by boat. What I did see really was breathtaking, and I know I only saw a very little sampling of what's up there. You guys have a real treasure in that coastline. Enjoy it.

Permalink Reply by Zen Master on July 6, 2010 at 3:02pm To push the envelope further, you can catch the Nova Scotia ferry in Bar Harbor too.
We took the ferry from Old Portland(?) to Peaks Island. Me, Zenny, Mrs Zenny, and little Zenny went over. We got off the ferry and walked uphill to the first cross street and made a right. There was a bar on the right that was had a deck overlooking the water looking back towards Portland. We had a few drinks on that deck before heading back to Portland. That chica was our waitress. She was very cute and very nice. I got something for redheads.

Zenny told me that in Maine, there's no such thing as 6 degrees of separation. He said that in Maine, it's only 1 degree of separation. I believe it. Too funny man. How do you know her?

Permalink Reply by Junior on July 7, 2010 at 11:24am We met at college. She knows how to party.
Great snowboarder too, took many trips to the mtn w/ her my junior year.
Haven't seen her in a bit though, thought she was living downeast...looks like she's slaying the tourists for tips out on the Isle this summer. I know exactly where you went on Peak's, I'll have to reach out to her and say hey :)
Who's the pup in your pictures?
you're a pretty good Photog too Jr, some real good pics.
