Does SKI magazine know something that we don't?

https://www.skimag.com/ski-resort-life/ski-area-opening-dates-2017?...

I was hoping to ski a lot earlier than this, but if it's on the Internet, it must be true, right?

Yup.  Insider Info on Bretton Woods said exactly the same day - 11/20 for "soft" opening.

They missed Wildcat thou, which is shooting for the weekend before Fri 11/17

 Bring it on !!!!

I will lay a wager that SR opens before 11-22-17

You can buy SR tickets online for November 16, but I think they got SL right.

Some places out west already got a nice dump. Copper got upwards of 24" in the past few days!

I wouldn't wipe my ass with SKI magazine but SL opens the Friday before Thsnksgiving....like clockwork.

No October skiing st SR this year?

Actually, the SL website says 11/23 so I could be wrong, although I wouldn't be surprised if they "exceeded expectations" by opening a week earlier. Doesn't matter to me......recovering from rotator cuff surgery in early August.

BMac JR has a dozen days in at Bridget already. Hike and ski

Montana's been getting hammered already.

I've had both rotator cuffs done.  It sure does hurt for a while doesn't it!  I had lingering pain in one for a year, and the other for two.

Pretty sure if you look at actual opening g dates last season, Ski's list will match that to a T.  It's total BS.

No. They don't. Not sure where they got this date from. We'll open ASAP on upper Locke.

Actually, I've been very lucky.....no pain meds since day #2, although I've heard a lot of stories like yours. PT has been going great.....8 weeks in and I have full range of motion, but doctor wants no heavy lifting for another two months before I start strength work. Getting back on the road bike today and should be skiing, hopefully, around the beginning of January. I have a ski trip to Austria planned for February, so I have plenty of motivation to work hard at rehabbing. Worst part has been wearing that sling for 6 weeks....incredibly boring.
