Better viewing and more info.
It just occured to me that this is gonna really spread out the powderhounds. I bet the existing trees are going to gonna hold up better. Looking forward to spending lots of time at the loaf when the snow starts flying!
Just as they say to me about Sugarbush....who cares! This is a SR board. ;-)

Bwah, ha, ha, ha.....

OK I doubt this will spread out the pow hounds as they already knew and skied all these areas. and now that they are published, there will be even more people in there. Especially ones that previously did not know and did not really belong. Just plain marketing gone bad IMO.
:)

There will be more people there for sure, but with a three-slow chairlift ride back, I doubt it will be "crowded". My take.....some pretty low-cost terrain expansion and some good publicity; not much to complain about really. I worry that at some point they'll put some kind of a lift in over there, but given their track record for replacing lifts, I should be all set until my ashes get spread.

I think SL stuff is more pertinent to this forum than Sugarbush stuff....seems to be more cross-interest between those two mountains.

I did notice on the map that Brackett Basin will close at 3:00 which is about 45 minutes earlier than the rest of the mountain.....must be so the ski patrollers doing sweep can get home before mid-night !!

How's Sugarbush looking for this weekend?

Major issue for Pow Hounds at Sugarloaf is whether or not they'll have a lift running that allows access to the terrain. Wind esp the 2 days after a noreaster is brutal up there.

For the people that will ski this terrain...not a problem. T-Bar to the Spillway cross-cut over to King Pine and into Brackett Basin.

It never fails to amaze me how many people will give up a day of great skiing NOT to ride a t-bar. Bizarre.

Agreed 100%. I'm aware of the TBar access, was pointing out that some (ok, maybe alot of) folks "give up" on epic days at SL due to the SQ, WT, KP, and TL chairs being down.

Nothing like skiing Narrow Gauge in 8 inches of fresh snow in minus 35 windchillls !!
