Last weekend my wife and I rented a couple of the electric mountain bikes at South Ridge.  We rode to the Bethel Inn and checked out the recently built, I think, trails there.  They start out behind the inn where the swimming pool is and head out into the woods along the golf course.  Relatively flat with lots of twists and turns.  Perfect for newcomers or old timers like us.  Whoever built these trails did a great job.  I wonder if any more are in the works.

Yep, check out Bacon Hill out on Vernon Street (soon to debut) 5 more miles of single track.  There are some very grand plans in the works.  Check out this link:  http://www.mahoosucpathways.org/OUR-PROJECTS

I like the BI trails, nice mix from Gould Trails.  Was a combo build by a few groups.  They have been doing weekly running events as well on Fridays out of BI.

Dying to try them - bringing my MT bike to Bethel next trip. Here is a link to rides this weekend - http://www.mahoosucpathways.org/events

Also read in last weeks Citizen about new forest being sold to Bethel that is on backside of SR and will give access to Bingham forest - or something like that. Can't find article online - but sounded awesome for future trails. Love all this new stuff to bike.

you can read about that on the link you sent...click our projects.  If you decide to ride Bacon Hill, bring your A game.  KC (not our KC) is leading the ride.

Thanks all for checking out the trails. The trails at Bacon Hill which are not quite ready to ride just yet (give us a bit more time. They'll be fun and flowy just a bit more challenging than our trail at BVT.

We're similarly excited to be partnering with the Trust for Public Land and the Northern Forest Center on  purchasing the Bethel Community Forest which we, Mahoosuc Pathways will own on behalf of the community. We're really excited about that.

Good to hear.

Just to keep this thread going I wanted to let you all know that we will be closing the trails both at BVT and Bacon Hill (people are riding even though we haven't officially opened) tomorrow and possibly Wednesday to let them accumulate and then drain rainwater.

Thanks again for your support.
