Maine Adaptive Ski-A-Thon-- it's just around the corner!

Howdy folks!

Happy Saturday! I just wanted to let you fine folks know that us at Sunday River TV will be doing our damnedest again this season to raise funds for Maine Adaptive. We are asking for donations, people to join our team, help spreading the message, words of encouragement, high-fives, and the like.

Thanks for all of your support last season-- lets keep the momentum going for 2017!

Just sent another $ 150 from North Peak Social Club.  Sounds like a few more t-shirts will be sold this weekend, so we may not be done yet.

Nora, we have tubs of costume stuff available.

We're $200 shy of our $1500 goal-- can we do it before 3pm today?! Keep it going!

Nice work, folks! We exceeded our goal of $1500 & so far have $1620!!
I'm a woman of my word... polls on costume choice have opened. Be kind.

Thank You Nora, SRTV 7, and Sunday River Community!!

With your help Maine Adaptive raised $380,000 as of the end of Ski-A-Thon Saturday afternoon.  That's an "all in" number including team donations, individual donations, and business sponsorship for the event, which is around 50% of what it takes to deliver thousands of lessons to more than 300 participate-athletes, purchase and maintain equipment, and operate the program each year.  I asked each of the 70 Ski-A-Thon team captains to continue their mission after Saturday and stretch for another $300/team.  If they can do that, Ski-A-Thon 2018 will surpass the $400,000 mark!!

An additional Thank You to Sunday River, Sugarloaf, and Boyne for donating more than $200,000 in free lift tickets every year.  Without Boyne's generosity, Maine Adaptive would need to raise that much more in donations to deliver programming.  And then there are the 400+ volunteers who give their time and expertise to provide instruction and help run operations - priceless!

This community is something very very special - everyone should feel proud of what you help make happen.  Have fun picking Nora's costume!!

Consider the mission still on, we will get our $300 extra on our team.

Is that Nora trying out a costume for pond skimming?

I would drown, 100%. I clearly have no intention of making it across the pond(s), and after witnessing the anxiety-inducing performance of the inflatable snowman a few years ago, I will take it into my own hands to find another T-rex costume to sink in. But for my own entertainment, I hope somebody does broach the pond in one of those getups! But alas, it will not be me...
