Not enough snow?

Excalibur did not get a deep snowmaking base, so prior to the big storm, it was down to nothing in areas and others were pure sheets of ice.  They opened it Tuesday afternoon of the storm and it was interesting to say the least.  Wind was blowing straight up it and the new snow looked like ocean sand, some covered up the undercover well and some not so well.  My guess would be still too thin to groom it out now.  It is a bummer, as it leaves only Lolla and Rogue as real cruisable groomers on the west side.

Come on Mach, you can cruise Ruby and Caramba w no problem  :)

I didn't miss it, only trail closed the entire weekend. And Sunday the Excalibur to Blind Ambition lower woods were still super sweeeet...maybe the closing helped kept peeps out of it. Honestly for woods like that to still be totally covered, with zero ice, 5 days after storm is quite amazing in these parts.

Well, I much prefer to lap those off Jordan, along with all the wooded lines.

Marketing email blast today says all 135 trails are open!

We're officially one day into spring and can say without a doubt that this is the best we’ve had it in years. With five feet of snow in February and another two feet last week, the stockpiles are deep and we're skiing
wall-to-wall on all 135 trails and eight mountain peaks. Set your alarm, pack your sunscreen, and get ready—the sun and fun index is through the roof.

It's only the top section of Excalibur that is boney most of it is probably fine.

If you click the link, it contradicts that 135 trail count. Funny. (It's close though-what's a few trails between friends, right?)

131 or 135 (what's the difference?) but at least Excalibur is open again!

It was "open" on friday.  I made the mistake of going down it.  What a #hit show that was.

Looks like its ropped off again today.  Not a bad idea, there were a lot of people struggling on that trail, even saw some walking down.
