Permalink Reply by Beasley on January 17, 2011 at 3:34pm My phone is on AT&T. It works reasonably well on the mountain, in most places, but Aurora, for one, is kind of a dead zone. Recommendation: Neutral.
Inside the hotel at Jordan is usually hopeless. My strategy is to walk around looking for groups of teenage girls. That's where the phone service is. The Summit used to be better than it is now. I'm not sure if the coverage has actually changed, or there are just a lot more people using it and they haven't upgraded the system for a while. WiFi for laptops in the Summit has also deteriorated.
When you get your new phone, don't forget to put the Ski Patrol number on it. 207-824-5350. I hope you never need to use it, but if someone gets hurt, it's a lot better if you can summon the Patrol without having to leave the scene.
