I currently have Spring as my cell phone provider but my service in the SR area is not good.  Does anyone have great cell phone coverage in this area with a different provider?

My kids and I have Verizon and we almost always have good enough signals to text and call back and forth while on the hills. I can also check the mobile report using my phone while on the mountain.

Oppps I must have "spring" skiing on my mind, Sprint!!  Thanks GM, I have had Verizon before not sure why I switched to Sprint!
I have us cellular coverage is good most places, I think I lose it over at Jordan for a bit

My phone is on AT&T.  It works reasonably well on the mountain, in most places, but Aurora, for one, is kind of a dead zone.  Recommendation:  Neutral.

Inside the hotel at Jordan is usually hopeless.  My strategy is to walk around looking for groups of teenage girls.  That's where the phone service is.  The Summit used to be better than it is now.  I'm not sure if the coverage has actually changed, or there are just a lot more people using it and they haven't upgraded the system for a while.  WiFi for laptops in the Summit has also deteriorated.

When you get your new phone, don't forget to put the Ski Patrol number on it.  207-824-5350.  I hope you never need to use it, but if someone gets hurt, it's a lot better if you can summon the Patrol without having to leave the scene.

Thank you, my brother has AT&T in the Cape and he has never had a dropped call.  I also have problems in the Vineyard so I'm trying to find coverage here and there since I have no land lines.  Thank you for the ski patrol, I did have to use ski patrol this year, and I have still forgotten to put the number in, so thanks for the number and a reminder!
I looked into this quite a bit recently, basically none of the major GSM have any cells here, they all use a partner network called Unicel, so if you have a GSM phone then the coverage is the same regardless of who your service provider is, with the proviso that they allow you to use partner networks, for example AT&T prepay does not allow you to use partner networks.
