Can the lifties at the Aurora chair please choose the music for Southridge?

It would be great to hear a broader variety of music at Southridge than the dinosaur/arena rock that seems to be played 90% of the time.  It's the seventh decade of rock and roll and SR could find great ski vibe music from all of those decades.  Bob Dylan singing All Along the Watchtower at 8am last week was a new low.  Great song but not first thing on a fantastic snow day.

It's always fun to hear what the guys at the Aurora chair are playing, whether I've heard it before or not.  Why can't whoever chooses the music at Southridge mix it up a bit?

Last weekend they where playing country western, quite the switch for them as I am not a fan of country western music, other than that I love their music and agree.

While I was there I heard a full range of music at the Aurora chair.   Good stuff.   I'm guessing Metallica, Bob Marley and some odd techno-rap wouldn't fit the family vibe they want (I guess) at Southridge.  Tucked away in Aurora it's all good! :-)

Great stuff going on at the Aurora chair.  I haven't liked all the music, but it's great to hear a variety.  It'd be nice if they could extend the speakers so you could hear it longer.

It is great stuff adds to the fun. I agree SouthRidge needs a certain image but that kind of vibe around the resort just adds to the good feel!

That is TWO types of music, Country AND Western.......

Grateful Dead, 24 hours per day.  For variety you can play 60s dead one day, 80s dead another day, 70s dead another day, you get the point.  Then it would really be my Happy Place.

:-)

My point is that a variety of music spanning many years could fit the family vibe much better than the ancient stuff they play currently. I doubt many people under the age of 20 care much for Neil Young, let alone feel like skiing when they hear Heart of Gold. Not a
country music myself but I could handle hearing a country song every now and again.

Until I was at the Chondola earlier this season, I had managed to not hear a single rendition of "Holly Jolly Christmas" for two years by avoiding malls and otherwise practicing good musical hygiene.  At least it wasn't the Burl Ives version.

I, too, would be happy with all Dead, all the time.

Other chairs should have music too.

Not to mention a manmade bump line top to bottom on Quantum with top to bottom speakers.  Now if only they could stop the windscouring on QL.
