Think you're right - doubt it closes.   More valuable with an active revenue stream and functionally it is/can be a stock room/warehouse and extra prep space for the restaurant and bar.    My guess is it just doesn't return enough for the effort required to staff and operate it.  

Location/building is prime for a seasonal business - would retrofit as a dedicated restaurant.  Year-round opportunity is very limited as proved by almost all other access road business ventures.

Well, I'll venture a guess here that it will operate this year whether it changes ownership or not.  It has saved me several times from having to make the trek into town when I have discovered I was out of stock in the middle of making dinner.  Bit pricier than Food liner, but less than the Mountain Grocer.

I really like the Barking Dawg. Hoping it will stay open.
