So this season my friends and I came up with the idea for a challenge. The idea is to make teams of two or three, and everyone hits each peak. Each team will start from South ridge to vary their paths, going whichever way they would like. When they get to the top of each peak, they will have to take a picture with the facebook location tag or a trail sign at the top of the peak. First one to get a picture at each peak and get back to South Ridge Lodge wins. I was also thinking that there could be an entry fee for each team and the winning team takes all the money. Anyone want in or have any ideas on how this could happen next season?

Sorry, I like the unofficial version of this better...the one that has people drinking a drink at every bar on the mountain.  But go for it...I am sure you can get a gross roots effort going.

All 8 Peaks at Sunday River?

What're ya gonna do with the other 6 hours the lifts are (maybe) turning?

And what's with this "winning team takes all the money" crap?

How about the winnings get donated to a local charity and the other teams buy the winning team dinner and/or drinks? I can think of a couple of local charities that are REALLY close to where this "challenge" will take place.

Either way, I'm up for the challenge. Post up some dates. I could hit all 8 peaks at SR and still make it to Killington to ski the afternoon.

8 Peaks. Right.

8 Peaks. Right.

i agree. I also like the idea of donating the money to a charity

Funny as hell.

Don't all the hardcore SR locals try to avoid South Ridge ????

That's the 3rd time you've made the same post, and I still don't understand what you're trying to say.

Do you me want to post on Killington Zone and not on Sunday River Zone?

Care to explain my negligence in geography?

What are you trying to say?
