50th Celebration: Which local restaurant won over your taste buds?

Great turnout at the South Ridge Lodge for sampling all the flavors of the local restaurants. Thank you all for giving us something different at every station to sample.

I know the lines were ridiculous, soon after the 6:30 opening, but if you were fortunate
enough to find the short lines and fill your appetite, which vendor was your favorite as
far as presentation, menu and generosity?

I had two favorites that were closest to the slopes.

This event was interesting. I would love to see it again. The price was right if the layout had been more organized. I propose using a venue like the Summit. Maybe one room with all the food and drinks and other rooms to eat and mingle.
I am interested to see what the vendors thought of the function. Did it give them enough marketing. I for one did not even know the Funky Red barn sold food. To be honest, I don't remember the few times I have been there.;)
Funky has great food, and better Margaritas. Plus Barry has the best outboard motor mixer in the area!
He also has a great mustang, but will leave that to another thread!

I had a great time Saturday evening.
Nice to see Mr and Ms MS69, GA2, BOBR, Left&Right, Skilab and VB.

Foggy Goggle puts on a good party, big fan. Fireworks were excellent. Frozen Tee Shirt contest was good.
Goggle Deck: thought it might collapse at one point.

Great job by security and staff. I saw Darcy and Jarod bussing tables too I think!
Liam's Lobster stew was great! I got lucky to get to the back room area first and that stayed less crowded for the first 30 minutes so I got lots to eat. I ventured into the main area looking for the ribs people were raving about and couldn't get close to anything. It was nice to have the "owners" area at the Welcome area of Southridge but it wasn't really marked off as such. Got my drinks easier there. Didn't get a gram of cheese there though as that was quickly gone. Didn't get much from the Good Food store either as they ran out. I had to try 3 times to get some pizza from the Matterhorn. I did overhear some people being turned away at the entrance because it was a sold out.

I wish they had spread things out a bit more - even using outside would have been better. Line management was horrible and they must have been real close to the fire code limits.

I hope they can find a way to do it again - it would be a worthy annual event.
As a vendor at the celebration, we were very, very pleased with the set up (meaning what we as vendors were provided with). Have done events like this before, and it is basically bring everything, tables, silverware, plates, etc. The set up was perfect, plenty of space, electricity, plates, silverware, everything provided. Did feel bad for people in the long lines, several times we stepped away from the table to hand food out to people in the lines who had that look of desperation on their face!
The vendors that circulated with food made an impression on this patron. It will NOT go unrewarded!

Thanks Mike. We wish more people knew about our food. More importantly we wish more people visited Bethel. I am amazed how many people we have met that believe that Sunday River is in Bethel. Sunday River is located in Newry. Bethel is 6 miles down the road. If people ventured down, for free on the Mountain Explorer, they would be pleasantly surprised at how many shops, restaurants, and fun things there are to do. Not to mention visiting the Funkiest Place on the Planet in the Greatest Ski Town in the Universe! Live the Dream...and tell Marley and Ethan that Madeline and Macie want to shoot a game of pool!
