Yeah, "real" weather info is pretty fascinating. Nowadays, all you can get is instant forecasts, and it's hard to get the kind of details you need to either make your own predictions or try to fill in the gaps.

The island of Martha's Vineyard is also Dukes County. So, when this hurricane goes by, it will be the Dukes of Earl.

I am awaiting the hurricane now. I made the last boat to Martha's Vineyard on Thursday night, after taking my son to college in NY. I must say it is AWESOME to have the streets bare and no people around, it has been a crazy summer here! We had to be off the streets by 2 pm today, but then that changed and it is now 8 pm, lots of houses boarded up, very, very quiet here. Apparently it has been downgraded to a tropical storm, so we will see what Earl brings....
